TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF:
Been working in the bar industry for about 3.5 years and started in liquor sales then started as a barback and now been bartending for the last 2 years.
CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR MOST RECENT PROJECTS?
Currently, I am working at 2 new bars in LA as well as selling KIN whiskey in Southern California and consult on cocktail recipes in my free time.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE RECIPE YOU HAVE COME UP WITH USING AN ACC PRODUCT? WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND IT?
The Mango-A-Go Go. Love the idea of coffee and tropical fruit. I had a coffee mango dessert a few months back and it was a killer combo that I wanted to use in a drink.
WHEN YOU ARE COMING UP WITH NEW DISHES OR DRINKS, DO YOU HAVE A SOURCE(S) FOR INSPIRATION?
I am super into stirred cocktails this spring and incorporating flavors that aren't typically used in traditional cocktailing.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT OR BAR, WHAT DAY OF THE WEEK DO YOU RECOMMEND IT, AND WHAT KIND OF EXPERIENCE CAN A VISITOR EXPECT?
My favorite bar is Broken Shaker because they get weird with cocktail flavors and totally up my alley and its best to go on weekdays cause weekend in the warmer months get a little busy. For the favorite restaurant, I'd say is Osteria La Buca which is hands down. One of the best Italian spots in LA.
WHAT INFO ABOUT COCKTAILS DO MOST PEOPLE MAKING DRINKS AT HOME NOT KNOW THAT WOULD BE HELPFUL TO THEM?
So biggest things I see online that home bartenders do that drives me nuts is that you don't stir cocktail with citrus and when it says honey syrup it doesn't mean actual honey but a diluted honey and water mixture.
FAVORITE ACC FLAVOR?
Watermelon Mojito
WHAT TRENDS (EITHER LOCAL OR INDUSTRYWIDE) ARE YOU NOTICING TAKING SHAPE AND HOW?
Coconut fat wash has become huge this season and I am a huge fan. Also, Aquavit is growing and a big fan of it as well.
